Usage of Sick Leave

Your health and well-being are paramount. Full-time employees are provided with 10 days of paid sick leave annually for their own illness or to care for an immediate family member. If you are feeling unwell, please prioritize your recovery and notify your manager as early as possible. For absences longer than three consecutive business days, the company requires a medical certificate from a licensed healthcare provider to verify your inability to work. Sick leave is intended for short-term recovery; it does not carry over from year to year and is not paid out upon termination. Using your sick leave responsibly ensures you can return to work at full capacity and prevents the spread of illness to your colleagues in the office.

Short-Term Disability (STD) Coverage

If a medical condition prevents you from working for longer than two weeks, you may be eligible for Short-Term Disability (STD) benefits. This program provides up to 60% of your weekly salary for a period of up to 26 weeks. To initiate an STD claim, you must contact our third-party benefits administrator and provide detailed medical documentation from your specialist. The HR Benefits team will assist you with the paperwork and coordinate your leave of absence with your manager. STD coverage is a company-paid benefit, meaning there is no cost to you for the base level of protection. This program ensures that you have financial support during a major health challenge, allowing you to focus entirely on your recovery and eventual return to work.
