Compassionate Support During Loss

During times of personal loss, the company is committed to providing the time and space you need to grieve and handle family arrangements. Our bereavement policy provides 5 days of paid leave following the death of an immediate family member (spouse, child, parent, or sibling). For the loss of an extended family member (grandparent, aunt, uncle, or in-law), we provide 3 days of paid leave. If you need to travel a significant distance for a memorial service, you may request up to two additional days of leave, which can be taken as PTO or unpaid time. We do not require formal documentation during this sensitive time, but we ask that you keep your manager informed of your expected return date so your workload can be managed compassionately. Your priority should be your family and your well-being.

Additional Resources for Grieving

Beyond time off, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers specialized grief counseling and support for handling the practicalities of a family member's estate. These services are confidential and available to you at no cost. If you find that 5 days is not enough time to recover, we encourage you to discuss a longer sabbatical or a temporary flexible work arrangement with your manager and HRBP. Many employees find that a gradual return to work helps them re-establish a routine. We are a family-first organization and want to ensure you feel supported during life's most difficult moments. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the HR team for any additional support you may need. We are here to help you navigate through your loss with dignity and care. Compassion is a core value of our leadership team.
