Overtime Eligibility and Approval

For employees classified as 'Non-Exempt' under the FLSA, the company pays overtime for any hours worked beyond 40 in a single work week. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times your regular hourly rate. All overtime must be pre-approved by your manager in writing to ensure departmental budget compliance. If you find yourself frequently working extra hours, please discuss your workload with your manager to see if tasks can be reallocated or deadlines adjusted. We value your time and aim for a standard 40-hour work week whenever possible. Exempt employees do not qualify for overtime pay, as their compensation is based on the completion of their job duties regardless of hours worked. However, we encourage all employees to maintain a balanced schedule to prevent exhaustion. Accurate time-tracking is essential for payroll integrity.

Working on Company Holidays

The company recognizes 11 paid holidays per year. If a critical business need requires a non-exempt employee to work on an official holiday, they will receive 'Holiday Premium Pay,' which is 2 times their regular hourly rate. Exempt employees who work on a holiday are eligible for a 'Floating Holiday' that must be used within the same quarter. If a holiday falls on a Saturday, it is usually observed on the preceding Friday; if it falls on a Sunday, it is observed on the following Monday. Our annual holiday calendar is posted on the intranet in December for the following year. Planning your personal time around these dates helps ensure your team is well-coordinated. We believe that these shared breaks are important for building a cohesive and rested team culture. Enjoy your holidays.
